HEALING BAT was proud to take part in the BATTERY 2030+ Annual Conference 2026, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to advancing next-generation battery technologies and fostering collaboration across the research and innovation ecosystem.
The conference, held at the Politecnico di Torino, brought together key stakeholders from academia, industry, and policy to exchange knowledge and explore the future of sustainable battery innovation.
During the event, HEALING BAT’s coordinator, Stefan Palzer (TU Dortmund University), presented the latest results from the project in a parallel session on“Functionality Sensing and Healing.” This session highlighted HEALING BAT’s cutting-edge work on integrating sensing and self-healing functionalities into lithium-sulfur batteries, contributing to the development of more durable, efficient, and sustainable energy storage solutions.
The presentation was delivered alongside contributions from sister projects within the BATTERY 2030+ initiative, including SALAMANDER and PHOENIX Smart Batteries, reinforcing the strong collaboration and synergies within the European battery research community.
Participation in the BATTERY 2030+ Annual Conference highlights HEALING BAT’s commitment to advancing the goals of the initiative and strengthening collaboration across projects working towards the batteries of the future.
