Good Practice #3 | Cross Site Replication Pack for Comparable Results

 Share this on:

To ensure that results from different laboratories are directly comparable, we introduced a concise Replication Pack so partners can build the same cell archetype and run the same test protocol without lengthy SOPs.

Approach

The pack contains four one-page cards: Materials & Process, Test Protocol, Post-mortem, and a Data Header template – written in plain, actionable terms. By standardising key steps and metadata, we remove hidden variability that often obscures true material effects.

Results

Cross site plots show tighter spreads, decisions on coatings/binders are faster, and performance differences are easier to attribute to materials rather than methods. Teams report quicker handoffs and fewer “apples vs. oranges” debates.

How to Adopt

Start with two or three shared archetypes, keep each card to a single page, and use one CSV header for uploads. Review and refine quarterly to capture lessons learned while keeping the process light.
