The HEALING BAT consortium gathered on November 30th and December 1st 2023 to celebrate the project’s 1st General Assembly, six months after its kick-off.
The event was held at the headquarters of the project partners Idneo in Mollet del Vallès and IREC in Sant Adrià del Besòs, both located in Barcelona, Spain. All the other partners in the consortium were present, including TU Dortmund, CPI, Coventry University, Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, TU Delft, Paul Scherrer Institute, FI Group and SupraPolix.
During the meetings, the different work packages presented their progress and planned actions for the next six months and discussed the opportunities and challenges ahead for the development of a new class of self-healing batteries based on lithium-sulfur (Li-S).
So far, specific strategies and processes have been created for the project’s management, dissemination and exploitation (including communication), and data management. The research partners have also been planning and kicking off the works for their different work packages. Moreover, a visual identity and website have been developed for HEALING BAT as its main communication tools.
One day before HEALING BAT’s General Assembly, its External Advisory Board met with the project’s consortium for the first time. The meeting, which was held at IREC‘s headquarters in Barcelona, started with a presentation of the project and its partners.
After this, the role and goals of the External Advisory Board were discussed, regarding the anticipated outcomes of HEALING BAT, the relative costs of the technology developed, the research results worth patenting, and the best KPIs and applications for the project outcomes in industrial products, among other matters.
