The 4th Battery 2030+ Annual Conference was held last May 28th and 29th 2024 in Grenoble, France, counting with over 320 participants.
This large-scale research initiative, of which HEALING BAT is part, aims to make Europe a world leader in the development and production of the sustainable batteries of the future, which will store more energy, have a longer life, be safer and more environmentally friendly than today’s batteries. All projects participating in Battery 2030+ are establishing synergies with each other to maximise the impact of their common goals regarding research for future battery technologies.
On the afternoon of the first day, a specific slot was dedicated to the research projects that joined the initiative from 2023 on. As part of this, HEALING BAT‘s coordinator Stefan Palzer from TU Dortmund presented the project, focusing on its:
The presentation was followed by a panel discussion between HEALING BAT and its sister projects SALAMANDER and PHOENIX, chaired by Kristina Edström from Battery 2030+. The three projects deal with self-healing batteries and are currently exploring potential synergies. In fact, they have all been recently presented in the General Assemblies of the other two.

Great collaboration can still fall short if each team interprets integration differently. ... Read More
